I love my Hero City - A visit to Zhushi Primary School

On December 31, 2014, the last day of the year, Chen Yan, a guide from the August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum, brought the red memories of the Nanchang Uprising to Class 3(1) of Zhushi Primary School. She engaged in interesting interactions with the children, including paper-cutting and shadow puppetry. The children not only learned knowledge but also had fun, spending a joyful day.

On December 26, 2014, the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial organized personnel to participate in the "Micro Love for Left-behind Children" event held by the Nanchang Municipal Government News Office "Nanchang Release" at Zhushan Primary School in Sanjiang Town, Nanchang County, receiving praise from all sectors of society. On March 8, 2015, more than 20 students from Zhushan Primary School, led by Principal Xiong, braved the rain to visit the August 1st Memorial. The guide provided enthusiastic explanations and interacted warmly with the students, fulfilling the children's long-held wish to visit the August 1st Memorial.

"Micro Love for Left-behind Children" - A Visit to Zhushan Primary School in Sanjiang Town

On December 26, 2014, tour guides Zhou Tian and Lin Yanping from the August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum brought caring items to Zhushan Primary School in Sanjiang Town. Most of the children at this school are left-behind children, and they were very happy to see the arrival of the tour guides. They attended classes together, played games, and also brought toy soldiers representing the uprising. Through this activity, they hope to raise more awareness about these left-behind children.

On November 11, 2014, Lin Yanping and Huang Haifeng, the guides from the August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum, brought the red history of the August 1st Uprising to the Xianghu Experimental School in Nanchang. They shared red stories with the children there and conducted a lively and interesting class. The atmosphere in the classroom was very active, and everyone received promotional booklets and small gifts brought by the teachers.

In December, the guides from the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum entered the Wanshou Palace community in Nanchang City to carry out volunteer service activities for the Youth Civilization Initiative. They collaborated with the community to hold a fire safety knowledge promotion event, distributing flyers to community residents to enhance fire safety education.

In November, the guide from the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum entered Nanchang No. 10 Middle School to jointly hold a "Red Education On-site Exchange Seminar" with the school's teachers. They deeply discussed new models and methods of revolutionary traditional education, making full use of the rich red resources of the August 1st Museum and the interactive educational platform of on-site teaching. They strive to build a teaching team with Nanchang characteristics that focuses on red education, forming a mutually supportive teaching team to pass on the revolutionary spirit from generation to generation.

On October 26, 2014, the Nanchang National Defense Culture Education Association held its founding conference at the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum. The conference was chaired by Comrade Wan Jianping, the deputy leader of the Nanchang National Defense Culture Education Association. Comrade Jin Chunsheng, the head of the preparatory group, presented the "Preparatory Work Report," and Comrade Mao Chaolun, the deputy leader, read the "Constitution of the Nanchang National Defense Culture Education Association," among other documents.

The Tianjin Zhou Enlai and Deng Yingchao Memorial Hall's lecture team came to Chang to give a presentation.

On October 21 at 14:30, coinciding with the Fourth Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party, the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum invited the Zhou Enlai and Deng Yingchao Memorial Museum's propaganda team to give a presentation. The aim was to promote the touching stories of Zhou Enlai's integrity, selflessness, and dedication to the Party's mass line, as well as to highlight his noble sentiments and spirit of serving the people diligently throughout his life. The entire presentation was themed "For the People, Pragmatic and Honest - A Model for Communist Party Members: Zhou Enlai" and carefully arranged eight detailed and simple stories: "Premier Zhou Came to Boyan Village," "Risking Aftershocks," "I Am One of You," "The Story of Premier Zhou's Meals," "The 'Storm' in the West Flower Hall," "Premier Zhou's Salary," "The Last Days," and "An Ordinary Yet Unusual Ashes Box." The stories were vividly narrated by the presenters, combining storytelling, poetry recitation, and imitations of the great leader's voice and demeanor, effectively and movingly recreating Premier Zhou's charisma and noble character of being people-oriented, pragmatic, and honest. The entire presentation lasted 60 minutes, filled with peaks of emotion and high engagement. It concluded with President Xi's statement that "the Chinese Dream will surely be realized," bringing the presentation to a climax and allowing the audience to deeply feel that Comrade Zhou Enlai is indeed an outstanding model for the entire Party and military.

Report on the Rescue of the Wanshou Palace Fire on September 22

On September 22, 2014, around 11:30 AM, a fire broke out at the Wanshou Palace Mall, specifically on the 3rd and 4th floors, adjacent to the old site of the command center on the west side of our museum (which is a nationally protected cultural heritage site). Upon discovering the fire, all staff members, led by Director Wang Xiaoling, immediately activated the fire emergency plan and effectively carried out firefighting efforts, successfully controlling the situation.

Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Hall Training for External Unit Guides

In August 2014, the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum was invited to train guides from brother museums. During this period, a series of training courses were conducted, including theoretical lectures on guiding, one-on-one training, and simulated presentations in exhibition halls. Through just a few days of study, the guides broke through their own limits and achieved good results.

The "Little Volunteer" summer training class has started!

On August 3, 2014, more than 20 primary and secondary school students from Xihu District came to our museum for a week-long training in explanation skills, conducted by the guides from the August 1st Uprising Memorial. After a week of study, the children underwent significant changes and gained a deeper understanding of the work of a guide.
