"Mission • Action - Exhibition of Non-War Military Operations of the People's Army"

To solemnly commemorate the 85th anniversary of the August 1st Nanchang Uprising and the founding of the People's Liberation Army, and to deeply remember the great achievements of the people's army, as well as to further enhance the audience's awareness of national defense and national defense concepts, the Emergency Office of the General Staff of the People's Liberation Army, the China People's Revolutionary Military Museum, the Nanchang Municipal Bureau of Culture, News and Publishing, and the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Hall have collaborated to hold the exhibition "Mission • Action - Non-War Military Operations of the People's Army."

The exhibition is divided into five parts: disaster relief, anti-terrorism and stability maintenance, safeguarding rights and interests, security alert, and international peacekeeping and rescue, showcasing 167 images and 109 physical items. It focuses on displaying the important contributions made by the people's army and armed police forces in maintaining national sovereignty, security, and development interests, as well as their efforts in disaster relief, anti-terrorism, and international rescue for economic and social development and international harmony and stability. The exhibited items such as the "Compilation of Emergency Survey and Mapping Support Results for the Wenchuan Earthquake," the "Image Atlas of Landslide Lakes in the Wenchuan Earthquake Disaster Area," the film and television disc "Great Love Without Borders," and the latest developed non-magnetic search and bomb disposal tools are being exhibited for the first time nationwide.

Members of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Minister of Propaganda Zeng Guanghui, Standing Committee Member and Political Commissar of the Nanchang Garrison Command Xia Yijun, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Culture and Director of the Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau Xu Linlin, Deputy Curator of the China People's Revolutionary Military Museum Huang Yibing, Vice Chairman of the Municipal Political Consultative Conference Xiong Xiaowu, Deputy Secretary-General of the Municipal Government Hu Xiaohai, as well as over 200 staff from the municipal cultural system and stationed troops in Nanchang attended the opening ceremony.

The exhibition is located on the third floor of the new exhibition building of the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Hall and will be open to the public for free starting July 28, 2011, allowing citizens to visit.
