Under the reactionary situation of the Wuhan government, the Peijiang peasant army has not gained anything in the past month except for understanding the reactionary nature of the bourgeois political parties and government. The so-called political committee chaired by Chairman Wang decided to reorganize the Guangdong workers and peasants army into the newly formed 13th Army under the command of Chen Jiayou, allocating 6,000 yuan per month for supplies, making it his supplementary regiment. Subsequently, Chen Jiayou sent out a reactionary chief of staff, Shen Fengwei, who had repeatedly oppressed and vilified the workers and peasants' movement in Peijiang, to lead the supplementary regiment. This reflects the attitude of the Wuhan government and Chen Jiayou towards the workers and peasants of Guangdong.
The Peijiang workers and peasants army fully understood that the Wuhan government and the Nanjing government treated the workers and peasants no differently, feeling extremely misguided and wanting to find a way to leave Wuhan. At the same time, they received news that the Communist Party and all revolutionary elements, along with the He Ye Iron Army, were forming a revolutionary committee in Nanchang, preparing to march south to Guangdong to attack the traitors Li, Huang, Qian, and Deng, implement land reform, liberate the peasants, and establish a workers and peasants revolutionary government. This was seen as very worthwhile to participate in and support by the Peijiang workers and peasants army, so they sacrificed their own ammunition, which they had brought thousands of miles to Wuhan, to hand over to Chen Jiayou's people, and secretly ran to Nanchang to participate in the Nanchang "August 1st" uprising. This allowed them to vent the pent-up frustration they had experienced over the past few months, especially in Wuhan. Some were incorporated into He Long's 6th Regiment, some into the political security department's special team, and some into the transportation team of the grain management office, shouting along the way "Land Revolution", "Kill back to Guangdong", "Establish Workers and Peasants Government". Everyone felt that this was what the workers and peasants should do, and their months of hard work were not in vain!
On August 25, the army arrived at the Ren Tian City in Ruijin County, Jiangxi, defeating the forces sent by Li, Qian, and Huang to intercept our army's vanguard. On the 26th, our army entered Ruijin City, and the enemy retreated completely to Huichang. Our army then rushed directly to Huichang. At this time, the Peijiang workers and peasants army, incorporated into He Long's 6th Regiment, displayed their bravery and determination to sacrifice and fight the enemy. Although they engaged in close combat with the enemy's strong front-line troops, resulting in bloody clashes, the determination to fight to the death was evident. The Peijiang peasant leader Zhuo Qingjian and the leader of the Guangdong-Han Railway workers, Zhen Bowu, along with brave workers and peasants, risked their lives to charge and break through the enemy lines, which is truly admirable! Who says that workers and peasants cannot be soldiers, fight, and charge? This time, dozens of advanced workers and peasants from Peijiang, along with leaders Zhuo and Zhen, sacrificed their lives on the battlefield. Their blood was shed for the interests of the workers and peasants themselves, for the land revolution! Their deeds will hold an important place in the history of the land revolution! Their spirit of sacrifice will forever guide all of Peijiang, all of Guangdong, and even all the peasant and worker brothers in China, as they march forward on the bloodstained path of the martyrs to fulfill the mission of land revolution and liberate the workers and peasants!
In the battle of Huichang, our army was victorious, defeating the Qian and Huang troops so thoroughly that they could not form an army anymore, and later they arrived in the Chaoshan area from Fujian. At this time, the Peijiang workers and peasants army was being reorganized into the Eastern Road Anti-Enemy Army, preparing for independent command operations. However, relying solely on military victories is not reliable. The victory of the revolution can only be achieved through a massive uprising of all the workers and peasants in Guangdong. After He Ye Tie arrived in Chaoshan, due to the lack of a large uprising of the workers and peasants, he became isolated and suffered from the enemy's destruction, ultimately failing in Puning. At the same time, the Peijiang workers and peasants army also disbanded due to defeat, and many are now gradually returning to their respective places from Chaoshan.
They hope to continue their efforts to awaken the peasant masses to rise up and implement land confiscation and debt cancellation.
Peijiang comrades and workers! The workers and peasants in Hunan and Guangdong are still continuing their struggle to achieve the final victory of land. Rise up! Take the political and military lessons and experiences gained from these months of traveling thousands of miles, and continue to advance with the spirit of fighting against the enemy for several months! The final victory will ultimately belong to us!
We shout:
Long live the success of the land revolution!
Long live the success of the workers and peasants revolution!
