Name:The series of exhibitions commemorating the 90th anniversary of the founding of the army is open for free at the Jilin City Museum.
Introduction:
2017 marks the 90th anniversary of the "August 1 Nanchang Uprising" and the 90th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army. To commemorate this grand festival, the Jilin City Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film and Television, and the Nanchang City Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film and Television, in collaboration with the Jilin City Museum and the Nanchang August 1 Uprising Memorial Hall, launched a large photo exhibition titled "The Founding Generals Who Emerged from the Nanchang Uprising."
The Nanchang Uprising not only gave birth to the people's army but also trained and nurtured the backbone of party governance, state governance, and military governance. After enduring long revolutionary wars, they became important leaders of the party and the state after the founding of New China, becoming the founding generals of the Republic.
The first part of the exhibition recounts all the generals who emerged from the Nanchang Uprising through sections on marshals, generals, lieutenant generals, major generals, and brigadier generals. Those heroes who participated in the Nanchang Uprising and sacrificed during the revolutionary war may not have witnessed the birth of New China, but their revolutionary spirit lives on!
The second part of the exhibition, "Eternal Remembrance," showcases the list of heroes from the Nanchang Uprising, including 55 famous heroes who sacrificed before the founding of the country.
This exhibition is open to the public for free, and all are welcome to visit.
