Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party, the new Central Committee led by General Secretary Xi Jinping has placed great importance on the construction of the work style of leading cadres. General Secretary Xi has put forward the requirements for leading cadres at all levels to be "strict in self-cultivation, strict in exercising power, strict in self-discipline, and to be practical in work, entrepreneurship, and personal conduct." To support the "Three Stricts and Three Realities" campaign, the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum and the Pingjin Campaign Memorial Museum jointly held the exhibition "Family Style - Looking at the Shadows of Our Predecessors," which attracted a large number of visitors before and after the Spring Festival.
"Cultivate oneself, regulate the family, govern the country, and bring peace to the world." The older generation of proletarian revolutionaries dedicated themselves to the liberation of the nation and the founding of the Republic, pouring their heart and soul into the construction and development of the country. At the same time, their good family style of being "low-key, law-abiding, honest, self-reliant, sincere, and upright" is also commendable. A good family style is the most priceless family heirloom. As General Secretary Xi has said: "No matter how much the times change, no matter how much the living patterns change, we must pay attention to family construction, focus on family, family education, and family style." The exhibition "Family Style - Looking at the Shadows of Our Predecessors" mainly consists of two parts: "Immortal Pioneers" and "Great People's Style," showcasing the little-known battlefield demeanor, deep friendships, and strict family governance memories of nearly 40 older generation proletarian revolutionaries through over 300 precious photos and cautionary texts. From the predecessors, we can touch the spirit of the "Three Stricts," appreciate the responsibility of the "Three Realities," and understand the importance of "Family Style."
The exhibition is located on the third floor of the former command post of the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum and has been open to the public for free since January 20, 2016. During the Spring Festival of 2016, it attracted a large number of visitors, who expressed that this "Family Style" exhibition was very meaningful and deeply moving. The exhibition will last for two months, and we welcome the public to continue visiting.
