Name:"Unyielding Struggle - Exhibition on the History of the 14-Year Anti-Japanese War in Northeast China"
Introduction:
To solemnly commemorate the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's Anti-Japanese War and the World People's Anti-Fascist War, and to allow more citizens to enter the memorial hall, understand the history of the anti-Japanese war, remember the revolutionary martyrs, and promote the spirit of patriotism. In April 2015, the Nanchang August 1 Uprising Memorial Hall introduced the "Unyielding Struggle - Exhibition on the History of the 14-Year Anti-Japanese War in Northeast China" from the Northeast Martyrs Memorial Hall.
The exhibition is divided into five parts:
Part One - The Moment of National Crisis. After the "September 18" Incident, the Japanese army occupied the entire Northeast region in less than half a year. The people of Northeast China rose up to resist, and the anti-Japanese wave surged across the region.
Part Two - Establishing People's Anti-Japanese Armed Forces. The Communist Party of China raised the banner of the Anti-Japanese National United Front, pointing the way for the people's armed struggle against Japan. Following the volunteer army, the anti-Japanese guerrilla teams and the Northeast People's Revolutionary Army emerged, relying on the anti-Japanese base areas to carry out extensive guerrilla warfare, striking at the arrogance of the Japanese invaders.
Part Three - The Anti-Japanese Struggle Under the Cover of Night. The Japanese invaders implemented brutal colonial rule over the people in the occupied areas. Countless patriotic figures and passionate youth engaged in various forms of secret struggles, spreading the seeds of patriotism in the darkness, calling on the masses to resist Japan together, and undermining the Japanese puppet colonial rule.
Part Four - The Pillar of the Northeast Anti-Japanese War. The Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army, established according to the spirit of the Communist Party of China's "August 1 Declaration," was the backbone of the Northeast people's anti-Japanese struggle. They tied down a large number of Japanese troops and effectively cooperated with and supported the national anti-Japanese efforts.
Part Five - The Final Victory of the Anti-Japanese War. In the autumn and winter of 1940, the anti-Japanese struggle in Northeast China entered an extremely difficult period. Except for a small number of troops remaining in Northeast China to continue guerrilla activities, most entered the Soviet Union for training, preparing for the counter-offensive in Northeast China. On August 8, 1945, the Soviet Union declared war on Japan, and the soldiers of the Anti-Japanese United Army, who had fought bloodily for fourteen years, returned triumphantly. On August 15, the Japanese Emperor announced unconditional surrender.
The exhibition is located on the third floor of the former command post of the Nanchang August 1 Uprising Memorial Hall, and opened to the public for free on April 10, 2015. The exhibition lasts for two months, and all audiences are welcome to visit.
