Title: "Unyielding Resistance - Exhibition of the History of the Fourteen Years of Anti-Japanese War in Northeast China" Exhibition
introduce:
In order to solemnly commemorate the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World People's Anti-Fascist War, let more citizens enter the memorial hall to learn about the history of the War of Resistance, cherish the memory of revolutionary heroes, and promote the spirit of patriotism. In April 2015, Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Hall introduced "Unyielding Struggle - The History Exhibition of the Fourteen Years of Anti-Japanese War in Northeast China" from the Northeast Martyrs Memorial Hall.
The exhibition is divided into five parts:
Part 1—The moment of national peril. After the "September 18" Incident, the Japanese army occupied the entire Northeast China in less than half a year. The people of the Northeast rose up to resist, and the anti-Japanese wave was surging in all parts of the Northeast.
Part II - Creating the People's Anti-Japanese Armed Forces. The CCP held high the banner of the anti-Japanese national united front and pointed out the direction for the people's anti-Japanese armed struggle. The anti-Japanese guerrillas and the Northeast People's Revolutionary Army, which followed the Volunteer Army, carried out extensive guerrilla warfare based on the anti-Japanese base areas to combat the arrogance of the Japanese invaders.
Part Three - The Anti-Japanese Struggle under the Darkness. The Japanese invaders carried out barbaric colonial rule on the people of the occupied areas. Countless patriots and enthusiastic youths carried out various forms of secret struggles, spreading the fire of patriotism in the dark night, calling on the people to fight against Japan together, and to combat and shake the Japanese and puppet colonial rule.
The fourth part - the mainstay of the Northeast Anti-Japanese War. The Northeast Anti-Japanese Allied Army established in accordance with the spirit of the "August 1 Declaration" of the Communist Party of China is the mainstay of the Northeast people's anti-Japanese struggle. They pinned down a large number of Japanese troops and effectively cooperated and supported the nationwide war of resistance.
Part V—The Final Victory in the Anti-Japanese War. In the autumn and winter of 1940, the Northeast Anti-Japanese struggle entered an extremely difficult period. Except for a small part of the Anti-Japanese Forces staying in the Northeast to persist in guerrilla activities, most of them entered the Soviet Union for training and preparation for the counterattack in the Northeast. On August 8, 1945, the Soviet Union declared war on Japan, and the soldiers of the Anti-Japanese Union who had fought bloody battles for 14 years returned to the division. On August 15, the Emperor of Japan announced an unconditional surrender.
The exhibition venue is located on the third floor of the former headquarters of the August 1 Uprising Memorial Hall in Nanchang. It will be open to the public for free on April 10, 2015. The exhibition will last for two months. Visitors are welcome to visit.
