"August 1st" introduces the exhibition "Great Contributions - China and the World Anti-Fascist War".

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's Anti-Japanese War and the World Anti-Fascist War, the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum will introduce the large exhibition "Great Contributions - China and the World Anti-Fascist War" from the Chinese People's Anti-Japanese War Memorial Museum, which will be displayed on the 88th anniversary of the founding of the army. This is the third exhibition in our museum's series of anti-war exhibitions this year.

The artillery fire at the Lugou Bridge on July 7 fully opened the curtain of the Chinese nation's anti-fascist war. The Kuomintang and the Communist Party of China extinguished the flames of war, set aside disputes, united against the enemy, and defended against foreign aggression, making great contributions to the great cause of national, ethnic, and world peace. The exhibition "Great Contributions - China and the World Anti-Fascist War" showcases nearly 200 precious historical photos, comprehensively demonstrating the indelible contributions made by the Chinese people to the victory of the world anti-fascist war. The exhibition is divided into five main parts.

Part One: China takes the lead in opening the world anti-fascist curtain. On July 7, 1937, Japanese militarists brazenly launched a full-scale invasion of China. Under the leadership of the anti-Japanese national united front advocated by the Communist Party of China, based on Kuomintang-Communist cooperation, the Chinese people united as one to open the world's first large-scale anti-fascist battlefield.

Part Two: China's anti-Japanese war breaks the fascist plot to divide the world. The Axis powers of Germany, Japan, and Italy sought to dominate the world and further strengthened their extensive cooperation. The prolonged resistance on the Chinese battlefield restrained the main forces of the Japanese army, ensuring the implementation of the anti-fascist allies' strategy of "first Europe, then Asia."

Part Three: China provides important strategic support to the Allies. China sent 100,000 expeditionary troops to fight in Burma, becoming an important strategic pillar for the Allies' anti-fascist war in the Asia-Pacific region. The Chinese battlefield also became an important base for the Allies' counteroffensive against Japan.

Part Four: China promotes the establishment of an anti-fascist united front and participates in the founding of the United Nations. China actively advocated the establishment of an international anti-fascist united front, signing the "Declaration of the United Nations" with the Soviet Union, the United States, the United Kingdom, and 26 other countries, and initiated the United Nations Constitutional Conference with these three countries, becoming one of the permanent members of the United Nations Security Council.

Part Five: China insists on peaceful development to safeguard the achievements of the anti-fascist war victory. After the victory in World War II, the Allies prosecuted fascist war criminals. China carried out various forms of commemoration and remembrance, firmly following the path of peaceful development, and resolutely safeguarding lasting peace for humanity. The exhibition is located on the third floor of the former command post of the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum, starting free admission on August 1, 2015, and running until September 30, 2015, welcoming the public to visit.

"Little seedlings grow together, red genes are passed down through generations"

—— The "August 1st" training class for little interpreters opens.

In order to cultivate the comprehensive abilities of communication and language expression among young children, the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum has launched the "2015 Summer Training Class for Little Interpreters"! This is the sixth training class for little interpreters held by our museum since 2013.

At 9:30 a.m. on August 1, students from Zhushi Primary School in Nanchang and young reporters from Jiangxi Morning Post held an opening ceremony in the exhibition building. Our museum carefully planned and integrated resources, with high-quality interpreter teachers providing lessons for the little interpreters. This training activity lasts for seven days, covering courses such as exhibition hall interpretation, singing the "August 1st Uprising Song", interpretation etiquette and external form, voice projection, articulation, and more, to provide professional training for the children, cultivate their communication and social skills, and deepen their love for their hometown and historical culture.

The training class not only allows the little interpreters to learn a lot of knowledge outside the classroom in military, history, and folklore during the summer vacation, but also creates a stage for them to showcase their talents. At that time, the sweet voices, bright smiles, and unique interpretation qualities of the "little interpreters" will become the most beautiful scenery in the exhibition hall. In addition, at 9:00 a.m. on August 1, professional interpreters from the LePing Museum, Jingdezhen Ceramic Museum, and Fang Zhimin Memorial Hall will also come to our museum to participate in professional interpreter training. The training lasts for a week, with courses including "Museums and Interpretation", "Basic Training in Mandarin Voice Projection", "Interpretation Service Etiquette", "Tailored Interpretation", "Theoretical Aspects of Body Language and Interpretation", and "Interpretation Attire and Makeup Etiquette", etc.

Vivid and colorful, cultural innovations welcome "August 1st".

To celebrate the 88th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum is not only enriching its exhibitions but also striving to create and promote red cultural products. We adhere to the red collections, focusing on the research, design, and marketing of a series of cultural and creative products, relying on high-quality exhibitions to extend and expand the cultural services of the memorial museum, thereby greatly encouraging and inspiring the public to visit the museum, understand the museum, and love the museum and its culture.

This year, our museum published the book "August 1st Memories - Stories Behind Cultural Relics", which has been well received by many visitors and has become one of our best-selling products. Currently, our museum is attempting to upgrade traditional albums, combining static books with audio books, collecting and organizing interpretation scripts and background music, and fully creating an interactive reading album that allows visitors to immerse themselves while reading, better experiencing the "August 1st" culture. The interactive reading album was immediately popular among young audiences after it was launched.

In addition to thematic and representative mid-to-high-end gifts, our museum has also not relaxed in the development of small souvenirs that are close to life and the public, diversifying research and forming and improving existing series of products. Adhering to a people-oriented and life-oriented creative concept, we have developed and designed PVC luggage tags and commemorative pocket watches containing "August 1st" elements; in terms of learning and life, we have developed and designed a series of crystal bookends and magnetic crystal refrigerator magnets; in terms of fun, we have developed and designed a series of military-themed keychains featuring soldier dolls, with various shapes, realistic images, and playful designs, which are loved by many travelers. In the future, we will actively explore the market rules of cultural products, conduct in-depth research on marketing strategies for cultural and creative products, enhance our capabilities in cultural product development and design, continuously improve our management system and operation model, and promote the development of the cultural industry to a new level.

The academic seminar "Promoting the August 1st Spirit, Building the 'Four Strong' Dream" is held.

On the occasion of the 88th anniversary of the founding of the army, at the sixth academic seminar of the Nanchang August 1st Spirit Research Association titled "Promoting the 'August 1st Spirit' and Building the 'Four Strong' Dream", military history experts and cultural scholars from our province gathered to trace the history of August 1st, share the feelings of August 1st, raise the banner of August 1st, and conduct in-depth discussions on the 'August 1st Spirit'.

The 'August 1st Spirit' of 'Listening to the Party's command, daring to be the first, being unyielding, and striving for the people' is a valuable spiritual asset of our Party and our army." At the meeting, everyone expressed that the 'August 1st Spirit', forged by the blood of revolutionary martyrs, is the eternal soul of the heroic city of Nanchang, an inexhaustible source for promoting the development and upgrading of Nanchang, and a 'heroic gene' that needs to be passed down from generation to generation. Inheriting the 'heroic gene' and promoting the 'August 1st Spirit' provides infinite motivation to break through obstacles, overcome difficulties, achieve victories, and realize the 'Four Strong' dream.

As Wang Yuqi, Deputy Director of the Jiangxi Provincial Economic Committee, said, the 'August 1st Spirit' is the spirit of innovation that dares to take new paths, dares to create new situations in the struggles of the people's army, and dares to create new forms of armed struggle. This spirit of innovation still shines brightly in today's era.

Inheriting the revolutionary gene, paying tribute to old party members, the theme volunteer service activity 'I am a Red Army Child' was successfully carried out.

On the occasion of the 88th anniversary of the founding of the army, in order to further promote the healthy development of the youth group, on the morning of July 30, the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Hall, in conjunction with the Nanchang City Volunteer Association and the Qingyunpu Yide Service Society, carried out the 'I am a Red Army Child' summer series of Lei Feng volunteer service activities. A group of left-behind children, migrant children, and disabled children were organized to visit the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Hall to pay tribute to the revolutionary feelings of the older generation of proletarian revolutionaries who sacrificed their lives, thereby increasing the children's knowledge of red history and instilling revolutionary spirit and patriotism in their hearts.

During the event, the guides specifically told these children revolutionary stories, allowing the children and volunteers to understand the origins of the red revolution in 1927 and appreciate the hard-won happiness of today. After the visit, the guides and volunteers from the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Hall led the children into communities such as Guangzhou Road and Phoenix Garden to tell revolutionary stories to some party members over eighty years old, and invited the old party members to share their revolutionary past with the children. The children performed talents for the elderly and presented red scarves. Finally, the volunteers presented heat-relief food and military history books to both the elderly and the children.

The implementation of this volunteer activity allowed the children to learn about the history of 'August 1st', feel the 'August 1st Spirit', and also gain the joy of helping others. The Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Hall will fully utilize its function as a 'patriotic education base', starting from the 'children', combining traditional social moral education with patriotic education such as party history and military history, to contribute to the healthy development of the younger generation.
