Name: Zhu De Pistol

Introduction:

In the exhibition hall of the Nanchang Uprising Memorial Museum, there is a display of the pistol used by Zhu De during the Nanchang Uprising. The grip is engraved with two lines: "Nanchang Uprising Commemorating Zhu De's Personal Use."

In early 1927, Zhu De established the 3rd Army Officer Education Corps in Nanchang, serving as the commander and training a large number of military cadres. In June, he left Nanchang under the political atmosphere of Zhu Peide sending Communist Party members abroad, and secretly returned to Nanchang in mid-July, doing a lot of work to support the Nanchang Uprising. After the uprising, he was appointed as the deputy commander of the 9th Army and on August 3, he led the advance team to leave Nanchang first. After the uprising army was defeated, Zhu De led the remaining troops in a hard-fought retreat, eventually meeting up with the Autumn Harvest Uprising troops led by Comrade Mao Zedong at Jinggangshan.

During the uprising, Comrade Zhu De always carried this pistol with him and kept it by his side until after the liberation.

The purpose of displaying this gun in the exhibition hall is to tell people this truth: Power comes from the barrel of a gun. As long as the enemy does not fall, one cannot lay down their weapons. (Accompanying image: Photo of Zhu De's pistol)
