Introduction:

In September 1927, when the uprising troops arrived in Ruijin, Comrade Zhou Enlai suggested to the Front Committee of the Communist Party of China: Given that He Long had shown a spirit of sincere cooperation from the Nanchang Uprising to the Huichang Campaign, and he had repeatedly expressed his desire to join the Party, his wish should be fulfilled, and he should be approved to join the Communist Party of China. Zhou Enlai's suggestion was adopted, and along with He Long, Guo Moruo, Peng Zemin, and others also joined the Communist Party of China.

The oath-taking ceremony for He Long and others joining the Party was held at the Mianjiang Middle School in Ruijin County, presided over by Zhang Guotao, with Tan Pingshan, Zhou Enlai, Li Lisan, Yun Daiying, and others present.

Comrade He Long, when visiting the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Hall in 1959, fondly recalled the situation at that time. He said: "Some people say I requested to join the Party hundreds of times, which is false, but I did ask a dozen times, because I was a warlord, so it was particularly difficult to join the Party; the Party had to test me, and my requests were never approved. Long before, when Zhou Yiqun brought a propaganda team to work in our troops, I once went to find him and found him presiding over an oath-taking ceremony in a room, and all those taking the oath were my subordinates. Afterwards, I told him: Old Zhou, don’t close the door so tightly, let me in too!"

"Comrade He Long is a good comrade" was the evaluation given to him by Zhou Enlai during He Long's Party membership ceremony.

This story fully reflects He Long's urgent desire to join the Party. This Party membership registration form is a witness to history.
