Name: Cultural Relic: The blanket used by Zhou Enlai during the Nanchang Uprising

Introduction:

In early October 1927, after the Nanchang Uprising forces were defeated, Zhou Enlai, Ye Ting, and others came to Lanhuzhen Village at the foot of Nantang Hill in Lufeng County, Guangdong, under the guidance of local farmers' association cadres, and stayed at the home of Zheng Azhong, a member of the Nantang District Committee.

At that time, Zhou Enlai was suffering from malaria, his face was pale, and he had a high fever that wouldn't subside. The only thing that brought him warmth during the cool nights was a thin red blanket. Despite being seriously ill, Zhou Enlai's thoughts and words were still focused on the revolution. With the careful care of the Zheng family, Zhou Enlai's condition improved somewhat, but before he fully recovered, he hurriedly left the Zheng family. Before leaving, Zhou Enlai noticed that Zheng's mother was thinly dressed, so he gave her the red blanket and encouraged Zheng Azhong to do a good job in revolutionary work.

This blanket accompanied Zhou Enlai for many years and was always by his side during the Nanchang Uprising. After receiving the blanket, the Zheng family also treasured it.
