"Seeking the Source of the Army, Looking Up to the Glory of the Soldiers" - Inauguration of the Exhibition Commemorating the 90th Anniversary of the Army

On the afternoon of July 16, 2017, the exhibition "Seeking the Source of the Army Building, Admiring the Glory of Soldiers" - commemorating the 90th anniversary of the founding of the army, was unveiled at the Oriental Green Oasis, a youth extracurricular activity camp in Shanghai. Approximately 300 pictures and over 300 physical items including military medals, honors, and documentary materials were displayed. Some old soldiers from the New Fourth Army, representatives of the land, sea, and air forces stationed in Shanghai, as well as over 200 students from various regions across the country participated in the exhibition. The 2017 Shanghai City Middle School Students' "Border Defense Line" expedition ceremony, guided by the Shanghai Municipal Propaganda Department, was also held simultaneously.

Approximately 300 pictures, over 300 physical items including military medals, honors, and documentary materials were exhibited. Some old soldiers from the New Fourth Army, representatives of the land, sea, and air forces stationed in Shanghai, as well as over 200 students from across the country participated in the exhibition. The 2017 Shanghai Middle School Students' "Walk Along the Border Defense Line" expedition ceremony, guided by the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee Propaganda Department, was also held simultaneously.

This exhibition was jointly organized by Oriental Oasis, the Nanchang Uprising Memorial Museum, and the Shanghai New Fourth Army Historical Research Association. It aims to review the glorious history and great achievements of the people's army, showcasing the brilliant deeds of revolutionary heroes who sacrificed their lives for the party and the people's cause. The first part of the exhibition is titled "The Great Beginning - Historical Exhibition of the Nanchang Uprising," divided into five sections: "Rising in Crisis," "Great Decision," "Firing the First Shot," "Southward to Guangdong," and "Battling on Jinggang Mountain," displaying approximately 300 pictures. The second part is titled "Generals of the Republic Emerging from the Nanchang Uprising," showcasing the journeys of 7 marshals, 3 generals, 4 lieutenant generals, 7 major generals, and 6 brigadier generals. The exhibition also includes physical displays of military medals, honors, documentary materials, including 165 badges, uniforms and service uniforms of the People's Liberation Army's navy, army, and air force, documents, books, and other related items.
