On October 22, 2017, the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Hall held a themed event titled "Calling for the Prosperity and Strength of the Motherland, Calling for Our Beautiful Life, Calling for the Struggle and Responsibility of Young People" to celebrate the successful convening of the 19th National Congress.
On the day of the event, 79 freshmen from the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture at East China Jiaotong University paid tribute to the revolutionary martyrs by presenting flower baskets in front of the bronze statue of great heroes at the memorial hall. They then visited the upgraded Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Hall under the guidance of a tour guide. After the visit, the students expressed their blessings for the motherland and their aspirations for future life.
This event not only allowed students to revisit the great history of the Nanchang Uprising and understand the arduous struggle of revolutionary martyrs for national liberation and prosperity, but also inspired contemporary college students to study hard and strive for progress.
