Since the launch of the exhibition "Forever a Model - Commemorating the 120th Anniversary of Zhou Enlai's Birth" on March 28, 2018, the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum has received widespread attention from all sectors of society, especially among young people, who have responded enthusiastically. Nearly a hundred primary and secondary school students submitted essays to the museum, expressing their insights and experiences from visiting the exhibition. As the International Museum Day on May 18 approaches, ten outstanding works have been selected from the submissions, and a final competition for the essay contest has been organized.

As the International Museum Day on May 18 approaches, ten outstanding works have been selected from the submissions, and a final round of this essay competition has been organized.
This event is jointly organized by the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum and Jiangxi Morning Post. The final will take place on May 12, 2018, at 9:00 AM at the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum. Contestants will have 40 minutes for on-site writing, and the works must be related to the exhibition content of the August 1st Museum or revolve around the theme "Forever a Model - Commemorating the 120th Anniversary of Zhou Enlai's Birth," with a self-chosen title and approximately 600 words.
After the competition, the contestants will visit the museum's basic exhibition under the guidance of a tour guide to learn about the great August 1st Nanchang Uprising and the touching stories behind the cultural relics. Meanwhile, the judges will be busy scoring the essays, selecting one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes, and four excellence awards. The winning contestants will receive honorary certificates and exquisite gifts jointly awarded by the August 1st Museum and Jiangxi Morning Post, and some outstanding works will be published in the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum's publications "The Sound of August 1st Gunfire" and "Jiangxi Morning Post Weekly."
