The Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum has established the "August 1st Propaganda Team" based on narrators, relying on the stories behind the characters and cultural relics of the Nanchang Uprising to tell revolutionary stories through innovative forms of collaborative speeches. During the 90th anniversary of the founding of the army, the "August 1st Propaganda Team" went out of Jiangxi, bringing the "Red Gene Inheritance" activity to Guangzhou August 1st Hope School, exploring new ways of patriotism and national defense education, receiving praise from local students. In 2017, after a nationwide surge in red tourism, the "August 1st Propaganda Team" fully developed the themed education of "Learn August 1st, Praise August 1st" and the themed performance of "August 1st Military Flag Red", and jointly carried out the "Five Advances" activities with the Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau, receiving enthusiastic support from a wide range of students. Combining the characteristics of minors, the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum has long focused on cultivating a team of young narrators, integrating revolutionary traditional education with volunteer service spirit, and successively held training classes for "I Contribute, I Am Happy - Little Volunteers" in cooperation with the Youth League Municipal Committee, the Municipal Education Bureau, Jiangxi Morning Post, and other units. In the past three years, through recruitment, selection, and training, more than 180 young narrators have been cultivated. The young narrators enthusiastically serve the audience during holidays, with a total of 3600 hours of volunteer service, becoming a special landscape in the exhibition hall.
Since the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum's "One Museum and Five Sites" has been open to the public for free, as of April 2018, it has received more than 490,000 minors and provided over 1300 free explanations. Various media have reported on minors more than 40 times, and the influence of the "August 1st Spirit" has suddenly increased, highlighting the brand of August 1st elements and continuously enhancing cultural confidence. A teacher from Fuyang No. 21 Middle School said: "Leading students to the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum for a red research study tour allows them to closely understand the glorious deeds of revolutionary predecessors and feel their selfless spirit of dedication to the party and the country. Such hands-on participation activities can make students cherish the hard-won good life they have now even more." A first-year student from Jinghong Middle School in Zhuzhou City said: "Coming to the memorial museum, I learned a lot of knowledge that is not in textbooks and gained a deeper understanding of the history of the Nanchang Uprising. I felt a very strong red revolutionary atmosphere, which made me deeply appreciate the hardships and difficulties of the revolutionary predecessors. I hope to participate in more such activities in the future." In future work, the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum will fully leverage the advantages of party history and national history cultural resources, adhering to the activity policy of "relying on collections, education as the foundation, and focusing on characteristics", with a focus on young people, not forgetting the original intention, keeping the mission in mind, forging ahead, and continuously exploring to write a new chapter for the country's youth education事业!
