Cultural relics are the spiritual symbols of the Chinese nation and the symbols of national civilization. They are the "cultural ambassadors" for the dissemination and exchange of Chinese civilization. The exchange of cultural relics exhibitions is an immortal witness to the exchange and mutual learning between Chinese and foreign civilizations, and it serves as a bridge for the dissemination and development of Chinese civilization, showcasing the unique charm and distinctive elegance of Chinese culture, playing an increasingly important role in cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries. Exhibition planning is the main way for museums to provide social services, and it is the soul of museums. The training aims to help participants gain a deeper understanding of the work concepts and methods of exhibition planning, improve their curatorial capabilities and exhibition levels, and better fulfill the cultural dissemination functions of museums.
This training course invited six experts and scholars in the field of exhibitions to give lectures, including He Xiaolei, Director of the Museum and Social Cultural Relics Department (Science and Technology Department) of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, Lu Jiansong, Professor and Director of the Department of Cultural Relics and Museum Studies at Fudan University, Deng Minliang, Director of the Hong Kong Museum of Art, Qi Mei, Chief Researcher at the Capital Museum, Ye Rong, Director of the Jiangxi Provincial Museum, and Isabelle Godard, Project Director of the Cartier Contemporary Art Foundation. During the one-week training, participants will enhance their practical exhibition planning skills while also building a platform for exhibition exchanges, actively promoting the reasonable and moderate use of cultural relics and improving the exhibition levels of museums, allowing cultural relics to "come to life" and making the exhibition results benefit the general public.
