The Dragon Boat Festival is one of the four major traditional festivals in our country. Since ancient times, the festival has included activities such as dragon boat racing and eating zongzi. To enrich the cultural life of the citizens, our museum has launched the fourth phase of the "History Classroom" themed series of educational activities - "Different from Zongzi, Fun with August 1st."

On the afternoon of June 15, more than 30 children from the Nanjing Normal University Affiliated Primary School's Dushan Road campus, led by their teachers, entered the Zhu De Third Army Officer Education Group. The guide led the students to visit and explained the origin and traditional customs of the Dragon Boat Festival. To enhance the festive atmosphere and increase the fun and interactivity of learning, the activity included a colorful egg painting session. The students themed their creations around the military lecture hall, sketching their ideal red hall and creating unique Dragon Boat Festival colorful eggs. During the activity, the children exchanged zongzi and their painted eggs, enhancing friendship while also promoting social interaction skills.

This activity aims to promote patriotic education for minors from the perspectives of enhancing the traditional culture of the Chinese nation and advocating revolutionary spirit, combining education with entertainment, allowing children to understand and experience the unique charm of traditional festivals.

To fully utilize the social education function of the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Hall, allowing a wide audience to have an independent learning space after visiting and complete social education practice, our museum has created a comprehensive audience participation space this year that integrates teaching, leisure, observation, and experimentation - the "History Classroom." The educational activity "Different from Zongzi, Fun with August 1st" is one of the series of activities in the "History Classroom." So far, the "History Classroom" has conducted four phases, receiving a good social response in primary and secondary schools, not only fulfilling our museum's role as a patriotic education base but also meeting the spiritual and cultural needs of the general public.
