In the past few years of study and work, we have focused on the journey of the Nanchang Uprising forces from victory to experiencing defeat, and then learning lessons from that defeat. Zhu De and Chen Yi led the remaining troops of the Nanchang Uprising through arduous battles, ultimately reaching Jinggangshan to successfully unite with the troops of the Autumn Harvest Uprising. This remarkable period marked the entry of the Chinese revolution into a new historical stage.

In the past few years of study and work, we have focused on the journey of the Nanchang Uprising forces from victory to experiencing defeat, and then learning lessons from that defeat. Zhu De and Chen Yi led the remaining forces of the Nanchang Uprising through arduous battles, ultimately reaching Jinggangshan to join forces with the Autumn Harvest Uprising troops in a victorious meeting during that remarkable period, thus ushering the Chinese revolution into a new historical stage. Today, I would like to discuss with you another group that was active during the same period as the Nanchang Uprising forces, closely related to it, and made significant contributions to the creation and development of the Jinggangshan revolutionary base — the Autumn Harvest Uprising troops led by Mao Zedong. How was the Jinggangshan base established? When did Mao Zedong have the idea of going to Jinggangshan, and what kind of twists and turns did he experience during this period? With these questions in mind, I would like to start with the defeat of the Autumn Harvest Uprising and share with you the birth of the Jinggangshan revolutionary base, as well as how the Chinese Communists, represented by Mao Zedong, found a revolutionary path with Chinese characteristics during a crisis when the revolution was at a low ebb, based on the conditions of China.
