To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Red Army's Long March and to promote the great spirit of the Long March, the Nanchang August 1 Uprising Memorial Museum launched a series of themed educational activities titled "The Long March That Cannot Be Forgotten."
1. Visiting Yuxin School Honggutan Branch

On September 23, 2016, the guide from the Nanchang August 1 Uprising Memorial Museum visited Yuxin School Honggutan Branch, giving a vivid and meaningful revolutionary traditional education lesson to sixth-grade students with the theme "The Long March That Cannot Be Forgotten." The course mainly introduced various classic battles during the Red Army's Long March, such as the Blood Battle of Xiangjiang, the Four Crossings of the Chishui River, and the Flying Capture of Luding Bridge, using a combination of lectures and videos to narrate how the Red Army soldiers overcame numerous difficulties and ultimately achieved victory in the Long March with their selfless spirit and unwavering belief.

In class, the students actively participated and spoke enthusiastically, leaving a deep impression of the Long March spirit in their minds. After class, the teacher said emotionally: "For children living in a peaceful era, the precious spirits of patriotism and dedication must be carried forward." The students also expressed that in their future studies and lives, they would remember the Long March spirit and strive to become pillars of society, contributing their strength to the construction and development of the country.
2. Visiting Nanchang Qiyin School
On September 27, 2016, the guide from the Nanchang August 1 Uprising Memorial Museum visited Nanchang Qiyin School, sharing a vivid and meaningful revolutionary traditional education course with a special group of students—over 100 deaf and mute children, with the theme "The Long March That Cannot Be Forgotten."

At Qiyin School, the guide narrated classic battles and touching stories that occurred during the Red Army's Long March, accompanied by simultaneous interpretation from a sign language teacher. The wonderful lecture content recreated vivid heroic figures and restored moving heroic deeds, seemingly transporting everyone back to the war-torn era, allowing the students to deeply feel the difficult years the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army endured in extremely harsh conditions, ultimately achieving victory in the Long March. After class, the guide left each student a small gift rich in "August 1 characteristics"—a drawing pen—and warmly invited them to visit the August 1 Museum in person.

At the time of parting, the students escorted us to the school gate. They could not verbally say goodbye, but they showed great happiness and excitement, and some were reluctant to part. Over 100 children unanimously gave a thumbs up, continuously expressing their approval. This silent expression speaks louder than words, serving as the best praise for our educational work!
