2017 marked the 90th anniversary of the Nanchang Uprising and the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. To vigorously promote the spirit of August 1st and to deeply advance the construction of socialist core values, in accordance with the General Secretary's call to "tell good Chinese stories and spread good Chinese voices," the Nanchang Uprising Memorial Museum organized a themed performance based on the history of the Nanchang Uprising. The narrators used stories from August 1st as the script, providing the audience with a cultural feast in an innovative format.

On April 14, the "Inheriting the Red Gene and Promoting the August 1st Spirit" - Book Presentation Ceremony for "The Red August 1st Military Flag - Stories of the August 1st Nanchang Uprising" was held at the Yufei Road Campus of Zhushi Primary School, hosted by the Nanchang Education Bureau and co-organized by the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Hall.

The third part of the ceremony was the story performance of "The Red August 1st Military Flag," where narrators provided an exciting performance for nearly 300 students from Zhushi Primary School, Yuzhang Primary School, and the 20th Middle School in Nanchang. They told stories about the first female soldiers in the people's army and the Battle of Sanheba, guiding students to continuously enhance their national self-esteem, confidence, and pride through vivid characters and touching stories from the Nanchang Uprising, striving for the realization of the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. During the performance, the narrators were vivid and engaging, and the students listened with great interest, receiving unanimous praise from the audience.

This performance is an innovative way of publicizing conducted by the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Hall. The narrators combined their daily work with self-written, directed, and performed presentations. The performance activities will also enter government agencies, military camps, communities, enterprises, and villages.
