On July 21, 2017, our museum guide, Gan Jing, entered the Yuchuan Island campus of Nanjing Normal University Affiliated Primary School to carry out the themed educational activity "Hand in Hand, August 1st Cultural Study Camp," sharing the story of the Nanchang Uprising with the impoverished students, left-behind children, and children from the Nanchang Welfare Institute.

During the course, Teacher Gan provided a detailed introduction to the memorial hall and connected the "revolutionary spirit" reflected in the uprising through moving stories, helping the children understand that the happy life they enjoy today is hard-won. The guide also posed many questions related to the uprising, and the children eagerly answered.

At the end of the course, Teacher Gan presented the students with unique handmade gifts featuring the characteristics of August 1st. They were very happy, especially two children from the welfare institute, who warmly embraced the guide.
