Order of the Central Revolutionary Military Commission on Deciding August 1st to be the anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army
(June 30, 1933)
On August 1, 1927, the Nanchang Uprising led by the Communist Party of the proletariat took place. This uprising was the beginning of the anti-imperialist agrarian revolution and the source of the heroic Red Army of Workers and Peasants. In the arduous wars over the years, the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army has broken through the previous attacks of the imperialist Kuomintang and fundamentally shaken the imperialist Kuomintang's rule in China. It has become one of the basic levers for the upsurge of the revolution and the organization for the revolutionary struggle of the Chinese toiling masses. They are the main force in thoroughly carrying out the national revolutionary war. In order to commemorate the Nanchang uprising and the establishment of the Red Army, this committee has decided to commemorate the founding of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army on August 1 every year since 1933.
We commemorate the August 1st day when the Red Army of the Workers and Peasants was founded. It is the day when the workers, peasants and toilers all over the world hold an anti-imperialist war every year. Especially when we decide to start commemorating it now, it is the danger of a new imperialist world war and an anti-Soviet war. Extreme tension, especially when the Kuomintang and Japan signed a traitorous North China Armistice Agreement and moved troops to attack the Soviets and the Red Army, all the soldiers of the Red Army must learn and improve their military academic and political knowledge, so as to create a million-iron Red Army, completely This is an order to commemorate this glorious day by smashing the imperialist Kuomintang’s four encirclement and suppression campaigns, directly fighting against imperialism, supporting the Soviet Union with arms, opposing the imperialist war, and fighting for the victory of the Soviet New China.
