On August 1, 1927, the Nanchang Uprising led by the Communist Party of the proletariat took place. This uprising was the beginning of the anti-imperialist agrarian revolution and the source of the heroic Red Army of Workers and Peasants. In the arduous wars over the years, the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army has broken through the previous attacks of the imperialist Kuomintang and fundamentally shaken the imperialist Kuomintang's rule in China. It has become one of the basic levers for the upsurge of the revolution and the organization for the revolutionary struggle of the Chinese toiling masses. They are the main force in thoroughly carrying out the national revolutionary war. In order to commemorate the Nanchang uprising and the establishment of the Red Army, this committee has decided to commemorate the founding of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army on August 1 every year since 1933.
