The former site of the "August 1" Uprising Headquarters is a modern representative building related to major historical events and revolutionary movements (August 1 Uprising), including: General Headquarters, He Long Headquarters, Ye Ting Headquarters, Zhu De's former residence, Zhu De's Officer Education Corps 5 old site. In March 1961, it was announced as the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
The building of Zhu De's Officer Education Corps was built in the late Qing Dynasty. In 1905, Jiangxi Army Primary School was established here. In 1926, it was the Jiangxi Army General School Workshop (commonly known as Jiangwu Hall) and the Ordnance Survey. On August 1, 1927, under the leadership of Zhu De, some students of the Officer Education Corps participated in the Nanchang Uprising and went south to Guangdong with Zhu De.
The house of Zhu De's former residence was built in the 1920s. In early 1927, Zhu De leased the house, and the whole family lived here. In July 1927, Zhou Enlai lived in the hall of this house on the first night he rushed to Nanchang from Jiujiang to lead the Nanchang Uprising.
According to the "Nanchang "August 1" Uprising Command Site Protection Plan (2006-2020) approved by the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government (Gan Fu Zi [2007] No. 20), the "August 1" Uprising Headquarters Site - Officer Zhu De The protection scope and construction control area of the education group and Zhu De's former residence are as follows:

- 178 meters eastward along the alley in front of the door to the west side of "Bayi Avenue";
- 8 meters to the south from the center of the gatehouse of the former site of the Zhu De Officers' Education Corps (including the roadway in front of the gates of the former site of the Officers' Education Corps);
——From the center of the gatehouse at the former site of the Zhu De Officer Education Corps, it extends 141 meters westward along the alley in front of the gate to the west side of Daijiaxiang Road;
——The northern boundary is expanded by 10 meters from the north wall of the former site of the Zhu De Officer Education Corps.

- 202 meters northward to the south side of Dieshan Road, including the compound of Nanchang Military Division;

- 48 meters to the east to the border of Huayuanjiao Street and 29 meters eastward;

Relevant management regulations
The former site of the "August 1" Uprising Command Headquarters is a national key cultural relics protection unit. According to the "Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Cultural Relics" and the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government's "Approval for Approving the Protection Plan for the "August 1" Uprising in Nanchang" (Gan Fu Zi [2007] 20), the relevant management regulations for the protection scope and construction control zone of the former site of the "August 1" Uprising Headquarters are as follows:
1. Scope of protection
(1) Activities that may affect the safety of cultural relics protection units are not allowed; rectification measures must be taken for the factors that have caused damage and affect the safety of cultural relics. According to the assessment conclusion, destructive facilities and destructive buildings should be demolished or moved in batches within a time limit.
(2) Do not carry out any activities that damage the body of cultural relic buildings; do not carry out other construction projects or blasting, drilling, excavation and other operations; but due to special circumstances, it is necessary to carry out other construction projects or blasting, drilling, excavation and other operations within this scope. , the safety of the old site must be protected, and it must be approved by the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government, and the State Administration of Cultural Heritage must be approved before approval.
(3) All overhead power and telecommunication lines shall be buried or relocated.
(4) Implement effective safety and protection measures, configure monitoring equipment and fire-fighting equipment, and arrange for special personnel to be on duty.
(5) Cultural relics protection and repair projects must go through the formalities for approval and approval in accordance with legal procedures.
2. Construction control zone
(1) Facilities that pollute the environment of the cultural relics protection unit shall not be constructed, and the existing facilities that pollute the cultural relics protection unit and its environment shall be treated within a time limit.
(2) Activities that may affect the safety and environment of the former headquarters of the "August 1" Uprising Headquarters shall not be carried out; existing hidden safety hazards shall be rectified within a time limit.
(3) Construction projects within this scope shall not damage the historical features of cultural relics protection units.
(4) The first-class construction control zone takes the control of architectural style and function as the main means, and makes specific regulations according to the different conditions of each sub-site.
(5) The main means of controlling the volume and style of the buildings around the cultural relics in the second-class construction control zone; no specific requirements for building functions, but large-scale public areas such as crowd gathering, parking, traffic diversion and noise caused by the construction should be avoided. Architecture (such as bazaars, performance buildings, etc.).
(6) The engineering design plan should be approved by the Jiangxi Provincial Bureau of Cultural Relics and then reported to the Nanchang Urban and Rural Construction Planning Department for approval.
