Name: Tea set used by He Long
Introduction:
During the Nanchang Uprising, Comrade He Long set up his command at Hongdao Middle School, located at No. 95 Zigulu Road, which was run by the Chinese Anglican Church. There are two buildings in Hongdao Middle School; the front building serves as the school’s classrooms, auditorium, and staff dormitory, where personnel from He Long's command, such as aides, staff officers, and logistics personnel, were stationed. The back building is a small western-style house that served as the residence of Principal Liu Pinggeng, where He Long borrowed a room on the first floor as his study.
When He Long arrived in Nanchang, he brought several sets of tea sets and other daily necessities (which were cherished items of He Long).
After the victory of the Nanchang Uprising, the troops set off southward. Before leaving, to express his gratitude to Liu Pinggeng, He Long left these daily necessities behind. He told Liu Pinggeng: If you don’t mind the trouble, I’ll give you these items as a souvenir. Later, Liu Pinggeng took the tea set and other items back to his hometown, Anqing. In 1956, after being mobilized, Liu Pinggeng donated the tea set to the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum.
