On the afternoon of September 15, 2018, on the eve of the Mid-Autumn Festival, Comrade Zhang Jiang, the deputy director of the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum, along with three others, visited the designated poverty alleviation village of Qiaoshe Town, Changfeng Village, to visit the elderly poverty-stricken household, Mr. Xiong Jingyuan. The Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum is a specialized memorial established to commemorate the Nanchang Uprising. It was founded in 1956 and officially opened to the public in 1959. In 1961, it was announced by the State Council as one of the first batch of key cultural relic protection units in the country, which includes five revolutionary historical sites: the former headquarters of the General Command, the former headquarters of He Long, the former headquarters of Ye Ting, the former site of the Zhu De Military Education Corps, and Zhu De's former residence. As the "First Museum of Chinese Military History," it has attracted significant attention since its opening, with visits from many veteran proletarian revolutionaries and leaders of the Party and the state, including Zhou Enlai, Zhu De, Dong Biwu, He Long, Chen Yi, Peng Zhen, Jiang Zemin, Hu Jintao, and Xi Jinping.
