Listening to revolutionary stories, children express hope

Under the guidance of volunteers, the young reporters and the children from the Nanchang SOS Children's Village listened to the story of the August 1st Uprising. The vivid explanations from the museum's guides and the numerous exhibits helped recreate the revolutionary situation, allowing the children to understand the tremendous sacrifices and outstanding contributions made by the revolutionary martyrs for the motherland ninety years ago, guiding them to remember history and not forget the martyrs. Although their ancestors lived in hardship, their revolutionary enthusiasm remained undiminished; they were steadfast in their beliefs, risking everything for their ideals, ultimately dedicating their lives to the motherland with the spirit of not fearing strong enemies and sacrificing for righteousness. Understanding the hard-won nature of today's beautiful life, the children, filled with respect and gratitude for the revolutionary ancestors, signed their names and left handprints on the signature wall, writing down their memories of the revolutionary ancestors and their wishes and beautiful visions for the future.

Painting beautiful visions, children's voices sing dreams

To enrich the children's extracurricular life and stimulate their interest in art, volunteers organized the young reporters and the children from the village to engage in future-themed painting creation in pairs. After completing their works, each pair exchanged their creations for sharing and appreciation. The children's drawings were primarily driven by their interests, using lines to communicate and colors to express, fully showcasing their composition and creative abilities, as well as their skills in imitation and imagination. Additionally, under the guidance of volunteers, the children learned to sing "The Great Dreamer," gaining insights into growth through the lyrics and building confidence in pursuing their dreams. They understood that even if born ordinary, as long as one dares to dream, everyone can be a "Great Dreamer."

Playing fun games, childhood innocence conveys friendship

Under the guidance of the guides and volunteers, the young reporters and the children from the village were divided into five groups to play a puzzle game featuring elements of the "August 1st Uprising" and the "Chinese Dream," strengthening cooperation among the children and promoting interaction between them. Such games not only have strong entertainment value but also serve the purpose of "learning through play," enhancing their emotional exchanges. Finally, the guides and volunteers led everyone to write greeting cards and participate in a book and gift exchange activity, where they shared the joy of reading and exchanged insights, gaining both knowledge and friendship.

This activity focused on cultivating and practicing the core socialist values, improving the ideological and moral quality of minors, expanding their interests and knowledge horizons, and further enhancing their interpersonal communication and cooperative abilities. It aims to call for attention to the education of minors and promote the formation of a volunteer service system that cares for minors, integrating "schools, families, and society," creating a good environment for the whole society to care for and nurture the growth of minors.
