Hello everyone! Today I would like to introduce this artifact - a covered, handled, warm water copper kettle. Its owner was He Long, the commander-in-chief of the Nanchang Uprising. This copper kettle accompanied He Long in battles across the country and was one of his beloved personal items. In July 1927, when He Long led his troops to Nanchang, it came along with him to the city. At that time, He Long was not yet a member of the Communist Party. As the commander of the 20th Army of the National Revolutionary Army, he could have enjoyed a life of high official status and wealth. However, he chose to stand with the Chinese revolution during its lowest ebb, at a time when the Communist Party was facing its greatest difficulties.
