In early November 2016, the Bayi Lecture Hall held a session titled "Classic Battles of China's War of Resistance - The Battle of Xuzhou and the Defense of Wuhan," taught by instructor Liu Ke. The course mainly focused on the Battle of Xuzhou and the Defense of Wuhan during the War of Resistance, specifically detailing the combat processes, military deployments, and historical significance of these two classic battles. In class, everyone actively participated and exchanged ideas, which not only allowed them to revisit this historical period but also expanded their knowledge base and increased their understanding of the subject matter, resulting in a positive learning outcome.

On October 23, 2016, the 2016 China Nanchang International Military Music Festival Cultural Seminar was held at the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum. The seminar was attended by leaders of 15 military bands from countries including France, Russia, Australia, Thailand, and China, as well as experts on party history and military history from within the province. The representatives engaged in in-depth discussions on the topic of "The Impact of Military Music Culture on Urban Development." Experts pointed out that hosting an international military music festival in Nanchang is of great significance for enhancing the city's visibility, creating a brand effect, and subsequently promoting urban construction and economic development.

"Tang Shengzhi during the Northern Expedition"

In mid-August 2016, our museum's engineering department launched the "August 1st Grand Lecture" series. The lecturer, Tu Yun, presented on "Tang Shengzhi during the Northern Expedition." The course was divided into two sessions, focusing on three battles: the battle between Tang Shengzhi and Zhao Hengti, the battle between Tang Shengzhi and Ye Kaixin, and the battle between Tang Shengzhi and Li Zongren. These battles reflect the rise and fall of Tang Shengzhi's military power, and an analysis of his military and political work during the Northern Expedition was conducted. The course was closely related to our museum's display of the "Enemy and Friendly Forces Situation Map" and explored the historical materials behind the exhibition panels.

On May 31, 2016, the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum, at the invitation of the Guangzhou Revolutionary History Museum, boldly innovated by stepping out of its province. It fully utilized its rich resources in red culture and military-themed national defense education to bring the themed educational activity "Passing on the Revolutionary Spirit from Generation to Generation" to Guangzhou Bayi Hope Primary School, exploring new paths for national defense education. On the day of the event, the guide from the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum delivered a unique national defense education class to over 200 teachers and students at Guangzhou Bayi Hope Primary School. Before the class began, the guide first introduced herself briefly, telling the students that she came from the place where the military flag was raised, the Hero City.
