On October 19, 2018, the World VR Industry Conference was grandly opened in Nanchang. The conference, themed "VR Makes the World More Wonderful," aims to focus on cutting-edge technologies, explore development paths, showcase the latest achievements, promote application popularization, and build a communication platform to gather essential resources. The conference is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the People's Government of Jiangxi Province, and organized by the China Electronic Information Industry Development Research Institute, the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Nanchang Municipal People's Government, and the Virtual Reality Industry Alliance. Have you seen the old movie "Heroes and Sons"? Have you heard the songs "My Motherland" and "Ode to Heroes"? These popular and classic artistic works, which have been passed down for over 60 years, all originate from a classic battle during the 70-year Anti-American Aid Korea War—Shangganling. Today, we have Grandpa Xi Shurong sharing his story with us. Grandpa Xi is 93 years old and was originally the commander of the 1st Company of the 1st Battalion of the 6th Division of the 24th Army of the People's Liberation Army. In October 1951, at the age of 24, he crossed the Yalu River at night on a small boat with his troops. As a witness to the Shangganling battle, what was this extraordinarily difficult period like in his eyes?
