The People's Liberation Army of China has gone through a glorious journey of 90 years. As early as the founding of the Communist Party of China in 1921, the party began its initial military explorations. The program of the First National Congress of the Communist Party stated: "The task of the revolutionary army is to overthrow the old regime by revolutionary means together with the proletariat." Early leaders such as Zhou Enlai and Qu Qiubai successively proposed in the party's publications that "without a revolutionary army, warlords cannot be defeated" and that "there is an extreme need for a formal revolutionary army in the Chinese National Revolution." However, at this time, the Communist Party of China had not yet deeply understood the particularity of the Chinese revolution, and the issue of organizing an army had not yet been practically developed.

Zhu De was a great Marxist, a great proletarian revolutionary, politician, and military strategist. He was one of the main founders of the People's Liberation Army and a founding father of the People's Republic of China, as well as an important member of the first generation of the Party's central leadership. To commemorate the 130th anniversary of Comrade Zhu De's birth, our museum is launching "Zhu De on the Red Land," showcasing Zhu De's revolutionary activities in Jiangxi, in order to pay tribute to his outstanding contributions and noble character. This exhibition introduces Zhu De's journey from preparing for the Nanchang Uprising to leading the charge, through five sections: being appointed to go to Nanchang, the surging waves in Yuzhang, heading south as a vanguard, fighting in the Jinggang Mountains, and his deep connection to the red land.

General Secretary Xi has put forward the requirements for leaders at all levels to "be strict in self-cultivation, strict in exercising power, and strict in self-discipline, while also being practical in planning, practical in entrepreneurship, and practical in being a person." To support the "Three Stricts and Three Honests" campaign, the Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Museum and the Pingjin Campaign Memorial Museum jointly held the exhibition "Family Style - Looking at the Shadows of Our Predecessors," which attracted a large number of visitors before and after the Spring Festival.
